Held in Hanoi, the Vietnam Private Sector Economic Forum brought together nearly 1,000 leading enterprises, economic experts, and policymakers in a high-level national dialogue. The forum was directly attended and chaired by Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, alongside members of the Government and senior leaders from key ministries and central agencies. The strong presence of top national leadership underscored the strategic importance of the private sector as a major engine of Vietnam’s economic growth following the Central Resolution No. 5 on private sector development.
The forum featured open and substantive discussions across key themes including private sector reform, digital economy transformation, agriculture, and tourism. Government leaders engaged directly with representatives of the business community in candid exchanges on policy barriers, cost structures, investment environment, and competitiveness. With participation from international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the event reinforced Vietnam’s commitment to improving the business climate and positioning the private sector to contribute 50–60% of national GDP in the years ahead.
